A cross-section of the Philly music scene, from artists to songwriters and producers to podcasters, convened on REC Philly last night for Inside Hustle. The music scene networking event is typically set on the Saturday afternoon of Philly Music Festival, but the event has gone biannual for 2023, with co-sponsorship from WXPN and a new home for its first springtime installment at the center city space for creators.
The evening featured a panel discussion with rapper and entrepreneur Chill Moody, singer-songwriter Julia Pratt, and indie rocker and writer Tyler Asay of The Tisburys, with moderation by Bruce Warren of WXPN. Following the panel, attendees mingled at an open-networking expo event, with tables focused on management, promotions, radio, promotion, fan engagement, and more. Experts on hand included Rising Sun Presents partners Jesse Lundy and Graham Noel who discussed booking, Universal Music Group’s Carolyn Lederach to field questions about E-commerce, Brittany Boyce and Rennie Jaffee of Another Management Co., and a radio table featuring WMMR’s Sara Parker and WXPN’s Mike Vasilikos and John Vettese.
The fall installment of Inside Hustle takes place October 14th, the Saturday of Philly Music Fest, and PMF founder Greg Seltzer told the crowd to look out for a full lineup announcement later this week, so point your browsers to PhillyMusicFest.com and check out photos from the event below.
