Philly Music Fest has announced its 2023 lineup. Anchored by two nights headlined by Kurt Vile at Ardmore Music Hall, the festival also features headliners Marian Hill — the New York-based electronic pop act with roots in Lower Merion — plus Scranton emo titans Tigers Jaw, and Philly rockers Mo Lowda and The Humble.
There’s a lot of excitement on the festival undercard, with sets by West Philly indie folk four-piece Sadurn, Fishtown shoegazers Knifeplay, midwestern-via-east-coast singer-songwriter and rapper Huey The Cosmonaut, veteran regional indie rockers Gladie, Philly rap legend Schoolly D, and soulful Morton PA singer-songwriter Ryan Gilfillian. There’s even overlap with our own XPoNential Music Festival, announced last week, as Moustapha Noumbissi and Julia Pratt will play sets at both events. ,
Philly music fest takes place at six venues around the city — Ardmore Music Hall, MilkBoy, World Cafe Live, Johnny Brenda’s, and Solar Myth — and benefits a variety of music education nonprofits, including Rock To The Future, Musicopia, Girls Rock Philly and more. Full lineup can be found in the poster below; tickets go on sale Friday, May 5th at 10 a.m.
