Fresh off a stunning performance at WXPN’s NON-COMMvention, Hannah Jadagu has been named our Artist To Watch for June of 2023.
Signed to Sub Pop Records at age 19, Jadagu embodies the DIY rock ideals of her predecessors through a unique marriage of woozy indie and smooth R&B sensibilities. Straight out of high school, she released her debut EP, What Is Going On?, in March of 2021, quickly catapulting the young singer-songwriter into the limelight. Since then, Jadagu has escaped the heat of her Texas hometown, performing at Pitchfork’s Music Festival in London, the Velvet Underground in Toronto, at NON-COMM 2023 and all across the U.S, capturing the hearts of listeners and gaining devoted fans with her infectiously catchy tunes, particularly on her 2023 LP Aperture.
