Sophia Regina Allison – famously known as Soccer Mommy – is releasing a new covers EP cleverly titled Karaoke Nights on this Friday, September 22nd. Covering five of her favorite songs to play live, Soccer Mommy adds her personal alternative twists to classic tracks by Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow, R.E.M., Pavement, and Slowdive.
Two of the covers can already be found on streaming services, including her version of Taylor Swift’s “I’m Only Me When I’m With You” from her self-titled 2006 release, and Sheryl Crow’s iconic “Soak Up the Sun.” This Friday, tune in to the rest of Soccer Mommy’s karaoke party to hear her versions of “Here” by Pavement, “Dagger” by Slowdive, and “Losing My Religion” by R.E.M.
