Kevin Drew is one of those people who always seems to be surrounded by life. As a member of the band Broken Social Scene and a co-founder of the music label Arts & Crafts, he’s always been a collector and connector of people in Toronto.
So what happens when you and the people around you start to change? What happens when they begin to die? Those are questions Drew explores on his new solo album, Aging. Released in record stores back in September, and recently on digital platforms, Aging is an album that deals with uncertainty, fear and loss. It also has the warmth characteristic of Drew’s music and personality. In this session, Drew talks about the stories behind Aging, plus he performs songs from the new album live.
