How Dizzy sharpened their songwriting on the band’s third record

The fact that Dizzy decided to make their third album a self-titled one makes a lot of sense.

The JUNO Award-winning Canadian indie pop band from Oshawa, Ontario, is made up of frontwoman Katie Munshaw and a trio of brothers named Alex, Mackenzie and Charlie Spencer. When they went into the studio to make their latest album, they knew they wanted to pare things back to the essentials to get to the purest form of Dizzy. To get there, they enlisted the help of pop producer David Pramik, who has worked with folks like Machine Gun Kelly and Selena Gomez.

In this session, Munshaw talks about how David helped them shape the record — and how he directly inspired one of the songs.
