It’s a good day for concert news from Doylestown-rooted artists. Following up on modern rocker Anthony Green’s announcement of a winter/spring run, acrobatic pop star P!nk just announced a 2024 run of dates, a restaging of sorts of her Summer Carnival run that took place last year at Citizens Bank Park for two sold out nights. This year, P!nk levels up and plays The Linc on Sunday, August 18th with The Script and DJ KidCutUp.
The show last year was a massive spectacle of costumes, acrobatics, an array of dancers and props, dazzling lights, a zipline ride that had P!nk circumnavigating The Bank’s upper tier by air (see the video below). As we wrote in our recap at the time, “P!nk may have broken out at the dawn of the 21st century, but her crowd in Philly this week was not limited to elder millennials; looking around the packed stands of Citizens Bank Park, you could see an array of generations — grandparents to parents to children to young couples to singles — all together, all experiencing a few hours of joy in the brisk late summer air. It was a perfect way for P!nk to reconnect with her Philly audience and throw a them a homecoming show like no other.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 26th, at 10 a.m.; more information can be found at WXPN’s Concert Calendar. Check out P!nk’s full tour dates down below.
