Exciting changes are coming to WXPN’s evening programming schedule, beginning next week.

Kids Corner, the Peabody award-winning kindie music and education program hosted by Kathy O’Connell, launches a 24-7 streaming channel via a new website at KidsCorner.org. The site will feature family-friendly tunes, commercial free, streaming on-demand, with feature spotlights and interviews from guest contributors available on the website as well.

“It’s not your parents’ Kids Corner,” says O’Connell. “And just as we brought a new world of music and fun to the radio, we are now taking that mix to the next level – directly to families worldwide, 24/7!”

On the radio, Kids Corner will air Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.; Mondays will feature music while Tuesdays will give kids a chance to talk to Kathy when they phone in to weigh in on the Question of the Week, continuing the program’s tradition.

In addition, three popular monthly programs are expanding into weekly shows. Land of the Lost, DJ Robert Drake’s rock of the 80s showcase, will air Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m.; What’s The Frequency?, John Vettese’s eclectic excursion into 90s-adjacent favorites, airs Fridays from 9 to 11 p.m.; and Culture Cypher Radio, John Morrison’s hip-hop and beyond program, airs Wednesdays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Additionally, afternoons with Dan Reed will extend to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays; the Indie Rock Hit Parade with Eric Schuman will run Tuesdays from 10 p.m. to midnight; Echoes with Jon Diliberto shifts to midnight; and Rhythm Lab Radio with Tariq Moody moves to Monday Nights from 10 p.m. to midnight.

WXPN will no longer carry Latin Alternative, Sound Opinions, and the Grateful Dead Hour.

Programming changes will take effect on Monday, January 29th.
