Big Harp George, a professor of International Law, knows his way around the “big harp” (the chromatic harmonica) and writes some well-crafted songs in his upcoming album Cooking With Gas. You’ll also hear song from a forthcoming album featuring the Georgia Sea Island Singers with Mississippi Fred McDowell in a 1959 concert, and Elliott Sharp’s Terraplane — avant-garde musician Elliott Sharp teams up with Eric Mingus, son of Charles Mingus, on a new blues song.
