After finishing up their West Coast tour, Chicago group Brigette Calls Me Baby released the music video for their single “Eddie My Love,” now on iHeartRadio’s Triple A radio chart. The February Artist to Watch will be playing Lollapalooza on Saturday, August 3rd.
“Eddie My Love,” a ballad from their debut EP This House is Made Of Corners, is reflective of the quintet’s retro rock vibe, creating a sound situated in a hypothetical mishmash of 1950s and 1980s influences. Appropriately, given his deep voice and stage bravado, frontman Wes Leavins recorded music for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis (2022) and met Dave Cobb, who produced This House is Made of Corners on set.
“‘Eddie My Love’ paved the way for all the songs that would come after,” said Leavins in a press release. “It felt so vulnerable from the jump, and made me realize that there’s no point in being anything but vulnerable in what we do.”
Brigitte Calls Me Baby plays both NON-COMMvention and XPoNential Music Festival this year. Tickets to the XPoNential Music Festival from Sept 20-22 in Camden, NJ are available here.
