After releasing her second solo album Hole in My Head in February, punk icon Laura Jane Grace is going on tour. Beginning in September, Grace’s US tour features Philly’s own Catbite opening a majority of the shows, with Taylor Hollingsworth (Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band) filling in the rest.
Laura Jane Grace formed Against Me! in 1997 and briefly created work under Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers. Since the pandemic, she’s been focusing more on her solo work. Catbite, on the other hand, is part of the new wave of ska that’s simultaneously political and positive.
Though there are no Philly shows, but there will be Atlantic City (Anchor Rock Club on September 15th) and Asbury Park (House of Independents on September 18th) performances, as well as a concert cruise in NYC. Tickets and more information available on XPN’s Concert Calendar.
