Michael Kiwanuka is back with a new single titled “Floating Parade.” The indie artist best known for his 2017 single “Cold Little Heart” debuted his newest song on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, then released the visualizer on July 10.

The single, produced by Inflo and Danger Mouse, explores themes of escapism in the face of struggle. “We can be solid, but hardly make a dent,” Kiwanuka croons. “So I’ll be a full on child for a while”. With the use of strings swelling around Kiwankua’s soft voice, it’s a dreamy three minutes perfect for driving in the car with the windows down. “Floating Parade” is the first new single Kiwanuka has released in three years, since 2021’s “Beautiful Life”.

Michael Kiwanuka will be playing the Met on September 29th. Tickets and more information available on XPN’s Concert Calendar. Watch the visualizer or a live performance below.
