Orion Sun has always incorporated her surroundings and personal struggles into her music, charming listeners with her easy-going bedroom pop sound. Her newest single “Mary Jane” is no different, “This song is about coping and facing fear head on. I lean hard on my vices when it feels like the world it’s falling from the sky. It helps you escape for a while, but no matter where you go, you can’t run from yourself. I had to face my fears eventually, and I’m glad I did,” shared Orion Sun about the track.

Along with releasing “Mary Jane,” Orion Sun announced her self-titled album, Orion. The Philly-rooted artist’s new project is her first in four years and marks a period of growth as she navigated a move to the West Coast.

Orion Sun will also give her growing fan base a chance to hear her new songs live, embarking on her Rising Sun tour in the fall. She will come to Philly on November 8, playing at Union Transfer. Tickets and more information can be found at the WXPN Concert Calendar.
