Joining us in the studio for this Indie Rock Hit Parade session is a hard-working trio who have quickly captured the imagination of music lovers around the globe. Hailing from, yes, Los Angeles, LA LOM are purveyors of a sound that evokes the multicultural landscape of the City of Angels. Led by Zac Sokolow’s reverb-drenched guitar licks, grounded by Jake Faulkner’s electric- and upright bass, and driven by Nicholas Baker’s distinctive conga-rooted drumming, LA LOM’s debut album, The Los Angeles League of Musicians, is a confident and instantly likeable offering. With a headlining tour and dates supporting Vampire Weekend on the horizon, LA LOM visited our studio on the eve of their LP’s release to showcase album highlights and fan favorites alike.
