Can you believe that Antics came out 20 years ago? Although I was just a baby at the time of its release, I’ve come to appreciate Interpol’s hit sophomore album in the years since. Fellow fans will be delighted to hear that in celebration of the record’s 20th anniversary, Interpol is embarking on a world tour to play the album in full. Having initially announced only three U.S. dates back in June, the band shared news of four new dates this week – Philadelphia included.
Released in 2004, Antics helped cement Interpol as one of New York City’s most influential bands in the early 2000s. The album’s gloomy, atmospheric tracks include beloved songs such as “Evil,” “C’mere,” and “Slow Hands.”
Tickets for their Philly show on December 6 go on sale tomorrow (August 23) at 10 am. As always, head over to XPN’s Concert Calendar for more info.
