We’ll be featuring songs from youngest daughter of the late, great Memphis singer Rufus Thomas, Vaneese Thomas, from her newest album Stories In Blue. We’ll also feature songs from Duke Robillard’s new/old album Roll With Me, which started almost twenty years ago, and finished just this year.
After a long incubation period, and lots of planning and connecting with different people all over the region, The Philadelphia Blues Society is now a reality! The brand new non-profit 501c3 organization was formed by many longtime blues lovers and performers to help preserve and promote this vital all-American art form in the Philadelphia region. The launch party for this organization is on Sunday, October 27th, headlined by Benny Turner, half-brother of the late, great Freddie King.
