Here are 14 concerts to see in the next seven days, all around Philly. For tickets and more information, head to the WXPN Concert Calendar.

Sunday 9/8: Waxahatchee at The Fillmore Philly

It’s Tigers Blood, the sequel: round two of Waxahatchee weekend at The Fillmore Philly. After wowing the Philly venue last night, Katie Crutchfield and band are back to do it again, this time with different openers in tow: indie darling and previous tourmate Snail Mail (who just played Millersville’s Phantom Power last night) and contemplative Philly indie-folk singer Greg Mendez. Arrive early, stay late, call out of work Monday and take yourself out to a late breakfast. // 7 p.m., $59, AA – John Vettese

Waxahatchee - "Right Back to It" (feat. MJ Lenderman)

Sunday 9/8: Beabadoobe at The Met Philly

Confident and honest, Beabadoobee’s songs are a fresh mix of dreamy bedroom-pop ballads and upbeat cuts with early 2000s rock flares. Her recent album This Is How Tomorrow Moves is the perfect example of both, with 14 tracks that showcase her range and growth. The Met will be Beabadoobee’s first stop on her fall tour. She will be joined by Hovvdy and Keni Titus. // 7:30 p.m., $72.15 and up, AA – Emma Zoe Polyak

Beabadoobee - Live for World Cafe

Sunday 9/8: Buzzcocks at Union Transfer

Buzzcocks are coming to Union Transfer this week! The British punk rock band has remained active since frontman Pete Shelley’s death in 2018, now performing as a trio line-up, consisting of Steve Diggle, Danny Farrant, and Chris Remington. The same lineup released Buzzcocks’ tenth album, Sonics In The Soul in 2022. They will be joined by Orange County rock n’ rollers Lovecrimes. // 8 p.m., $30, AA – E.Z.P.

Buzzcocks - Senses Out Of Control [Official Video]

Monday 9/9: Kacey Musgraves at Prudential Center

Country-pop sweetheart Kacey Musgraves is bringing her charming songs to North Jersey’s Prudential Center this Monday. Her 2024 album Deeper Well was released earlier this year, with an extended version unveiled in August. With a bursting personality and a rich catalog – or rather, a deep well – of songs to choose from, Musgraves’ performance is certain to be spectacular. // 7:30 p.m., $39.50 and up, AA – E.Z.P.

Tuesday 9/10: Bikini Kill at Franklin Music Hall

Loud, brash, and unapologetic, Bikini Kill are feminist punk at its finest. After their breakup in 1997, the band reunited to play a run of shows in 2019. Their current lineup consists of founding members Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, and Kathi Wilcox. Credited with starting the Riot Grrrl movement in the early 90’s, Bikini Kill are a must-see act. Rock duo Sweeping Promises will open. // 8 p.m., $45, AA – E.Z.P.

"Rebel Girl" - Bikini Kill (LIVE on The Late Show)

Tuesday 9/10: Paul Weller at The Keswick Theatre

Paul Weller is a musical renaissance man. After rising to fame as the leader of British punk group The Jam, he’s formed groups emphasizing Motown and sophisti-pop, gained an interest in jazz and house, and even worked in the margins of prog rock. Now, Weller continues to explore every genre with 2024’s 66, with contributions from Noel Gallagher, Erland Cooper, Hannah Pell and more. His show at the Keswick – part of his first tour in seven years – is sure to have a little bit of everything. // 8 p.m., $48.50, AA – Maeve Zeleniak

Paul Weller - Live In Hyde Park

Wednesday 9/11: Glen Hansard at The Keswick Theatre

Irish artist Glen Hansard isn’t just a singer-songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist, or an Academy Award winner. He’s a storyteller at heart. Known best for his work with The Frames as well as the 2007 film Once, Hansard’s ballads have a way of resonating deeply with everyone. After spending a period on collaborations with other greats, Hansard has returned to solo albums with last year’s All That Was East Is West Of Me Now. The Keswick’s old-school movie theater charm perfectly compliments Hansard’s style, making this a show not to miss. // 8 p.m., $45, AA – M.Z.

Glen Hansard - 'When Your Mind's Made Up' | All Songs Considered Sweet 16

Wednesday 9/11: Marika Hackman at Johnny Brenda’s

Marika Hackman entered her 30s with a big sigh. No, literally. Her latest LP, Big Sigh, is an introspective and complex album that she said was the “hardest record” she’s made yet. An alternative sound shifting between experimental and homey, Hackman’s tracks are perfect for night drives, bedrotting, or an intimate experience at JB’s. // 8 p.m., $20, 21+ – M.Z.

Fender Presents: Marika Hackman | Fender

Wednesday 9/11: Ghais Guevara at Kung Fu Necktie

Delivering left-of-center hiphop doused in socialist / communist philosophizing and real talk about the inequalities in everyday American life, Philly’s Ghais Guevara generated an international buzz over the past couple years with releases like Black Bolshevik and There Will Be No Super-Slave. It can be heavy (tonally, topically) but Guevara has keen pop sensibilities as well, seen earlier this year in the Mida$ Touch Pack release and its infectious song “Flowers.” He’s been on the move a lot in 2024, playing shows and booking studio collabs in the UK, but Guevara is back on his home turf Wednesday for a Kung Fu Necktie gig alongside Brooklyn duo Dana and Alden. // 7 p.m., $23, 21+ – J.V.

Ghais Guevara - Flowers

Wednesday 9/11: Nicole Atkins at 118 North

After spending much of 2024 touring with Stevie Nicks and The Mavericks, Nicole Atkins is ready to hit the road solo. With her powerful voice channeling a mix of classic rock, blues and Americana, Atkins has a fresh-yet-nostalgic sound that feels both familiar and new. Stay tuned for a new album, dropping sometime in 2025. // 7:30 p.m., $22, 21+ – M.Z.

Nicole Atkins live at Paste Studio on the Road: Nashville

Friday 9/13: PJ Harvey at The Met Philly

It’s been a little over a year since PJ Harvey’s last record, I Inside The Old Year Dying, but it’s still in my rotation; you can expect cuts from that and other classics (yes, she’s got multiple classics – one for each decade, really) when WXPN welcomes Harvey for her very own Evening-With at the Met on Friday. // 8 p.m., $64.75 and up, AA – Claire Brown

Friday 9/13: Weezer at Wells Fargo Center

Hey brah, how we doing, man? It’s been a while, man, life’s so rad. Weezer’s my favorite, man, don’t you love ‘em? They’re playing the Blue Album in full at the Wells Fargo Center! Aw man, hell, brah, this is the best. Hey, did you know about the openers before the show? The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr.! Aw man, it’s gonna be the best, I’m so stoked. Take it easy, brah! // 7 p.m., $98 and up, AA – C.B.

Weezer - Undone (The Sweater Song)

Friday 9/13: JPEGMAFIA at Franklin Music Hall

Daaamn, Peggy! Not only will JPEGMAFIA be scream-rapping through new cuts from I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU, which is perhaps his best release this decade (hot take, I know), but he’ll be joined by New Jersey shoegazer Jane Remover and – I never thought I’d see this name in an XPN article – the one and only RXNephew. // 8 p.m., $37.50 and up, AA

JPEGMAFIA - Don't Rely On Other Men

Saturday 9/14: The dB’s at Johnny Brenda’s

Between Weezer and the dB’s, it’s a great weekend for power-pop! The dB’s (or the decibels, if you’re trying to pronounce it out loud) are of those Big-Star-esque power-pop bands that never got the credit they deserved – about twenty years into their reunion, they still know how to rock the house. And for another underappreciated power-pop act from yestercentury, The Mayflies USA opens. // 8 p.m., $20, 21+

The dB's - Black And White
