Joining us for this Indie Rock Hit Parade special is an artist who gave us one of the earliest ever previews of their new album. Back in 2022, Kate Bollinger and her band visited our studio for a warm and breezy live session. This was shortly after the release of her EP, Look at it in the Light, but only one of the songs performed came from that record. The others have finally found a home on Songs from a Thousand Frames of Mind, Bollinger’s full-length debut, which is out this week.
In this interview with host Eric Schuman, Bollinger recounts her travels across the country to her new home in Los Angeles; a journey that ultimately led her back to the east coast to record the album with her closest friends. Those friends include Matthew E. White and Sam Evian, both veterans of World Café and Free at Noon sessions.
