There’s always something going on in the music news world, and we’re keeping our ears to the ground. In case you missed them, here are some of the top headlines of the past seven days.

Jack White goes on tour (and no, he’s not playing Philly)

After supporting this year’s great NO NAME with an array of pop-up club date underplays, rock icon Jack White is going on a “proper” tour of the album in 2025. He famously doesn’t play Philadelphia with any of his projects — near as we can figure, he most recently stepped across city lines in 2006 to play the Wachovia Center with The Raconteurs, opening for Bob Dylan — and this run is no exception. But you know what? NO NAME is great, and worth traveling to his two-night-stand in Brooklyn for. White also released a newer-than-the-new-album song, “You Got Me Searching.” (Read more at Brooklyn Vegan)
