Greg Sover returns to the Free At Noon stage for a ripping post-Thanksgiving set
Listen to the Philly blues rocker dish an assortment of originals, covers, and jaw-dropping solos.
Last November, Philly’s Greg Sover released a new record called HIS-STORY and played a packed Free At Noon on Thanksgiving weekend in support of it. This year, Sover and his band — Kenny Aaronson on bass, Tommy Keifer on drums, and Wally Smith on keys — returned for an encore performance, bringing high-octane jams to the World Cafe Live Music Hall on Friday.
This year, Sover gave the audience a snapshot of his catalog as a whole — “Preacher” and his cover of Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” dating to his 2016 LP Songs Of A Renegade, “As The Years Go Passing By” from 2018’s Jubilee, a trio of songs from 2020’s Parade, and a couple from HIS-STORY too.
Greg Sover’s next local gig happens December 22nd when he plays The Sellersville Theater with Quinn Sullivan; tickets and information can be found here. Listen back to his Free At Noon performance above and see more photos from the show below.
