Lola Young is a rising star from south London who has gained prominence in recent years. She has collaborated with Tyler, The Creator, won a Rising Star Trophy at the Brit Awards, and you’ve heard her song “Messy” on WXPN. And now, she made her late night television debut. On January 21st, Young performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, delivering a commanding performance on a major worldwide platform.
Lola Young first came to the scene in 2019, when she released her first single “6 Feet Under.” However, she has been making music and writing poems since age 11, and was first taking musical instrument lessons at the age of six. Her catalog includes multiple studio albums, EP’s and singles, including her most-streamed song “Messy” from last year’s This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway, which has blown up the charts over the past year.
Her features on the Tyler, The Creator album CHROMAKOPIA, specifically the song “Like Him” which released earlier this year, has grasped the hearts and ears of fans around the world. She has also worked with respected artists such as Lil Yachty and clothegod, and respected producers such as Jim-E-Stack and manger Nick Shymansky.
