Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe are back together this spring making music as Lucius. The chic singer-songwriter duo released a new single called “Gold Rush” today; it will be on their self-titled fifth LP, out May 2nd via Fantasy Records.
In addition to their own work, Lucius have established themselves as versatile collaborators, appearing on songs by Brandi Carlile (“You And Me On The Rock”), The War On Drugs (“I Don’t Live Here Anymore”), The Killers (“The Getting By II”), and Harry Styles (“Treat People With Kindness”).
“Gold Rush” has a funky groove and start-stop energy in the vein of Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Gold Lion,” with a hook straight out of the Sheryl Crow songbook; listen below.
