Following the cryptic SABLE, EP of late last year, Bon Iver announces its full-length companion SABLE, fABLE out April 11th via Jagjaguwar. It’s songwriter Justin Vernon’s first LP in six years, and promises to expand on what the artist is perhaps best known for: spinning existential desolation into dewey love songs. “The nine-song saga,” as the record is described in a press release details “one person [becoming] two, darkness turn[ing] to salmon-colored beauty, and sadness trans[forming] to unbridled joy.”

The record’s first single “Everything is Peaceful Love” arrives this Friday on Valentine’s Day, with a music video directed by John Wilson (of HBO’s How To with John Wilson). Featuring vocals from Danielle Haim, the track was recorded while the team, including producer Jim-E Stack, were snowed in at Vernon’s Wisconsin studio. You can watch the video when it premieres on February 14th at 10 a.m. here.

“A patient commitment to finding the pace for betterness, and togetherness,” SABLE, fABLE is available to pre-save now. Justin Vernon will speak more about the forthcoming record on February 21st as part of On Air Fest in Brooklyn, broadcast live via KCRW.
