Tune in to xpn.org on for Vinyl Day on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 6am-12am
The return of Vinyl Day is your chance to be a Guest DJ on WXPN
WXPN is inviting one listener to join host Mike V. on August 12 for a special Vinyl Day hour, live from your own record collection.
Got a stack of records you love? Want to share them with the world…or at least the WXPN listening audience?
As part of our second Vinyl Day celebration on Tuesday, August 12, WXPN is inviting one listener to help curate a special hour of programming live on the radio. Back in April, we spent a day with our computers off and our turntables on, with playing music direct from the record collections of WXPN’s hosts, and a few friends. And now, one of those friends can be you.
You’ll join host Mike Vasilikos live in the studio, cue up selections from your personal vinyl collection, and help shape an hour of radio from start to finish.
All you need to do is fill out the form below with a few details and a 10-song playlist pulled from your own records. Think about how you’d start the hour, where you’d take the listener, and how you’d bring it all home. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be you.
No DJ experience is necessary. Mike V. will run the board and guide the show. You’ll bring the music, and a bit of yourself, to the airwaves.
Here’s what to know:
- You must be 18 or older to apply.
- You must be available Tuesday, August 12 and able to be at WXPN’s studios in Philadelphia (3025 Walnut Street) from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The broadcast happens during the 1 p.m. hour.
- You’ll need to bring your own records and agree to the terms in the form.
Fill out the form below, tell us a bit about your taste, and submit your playlist for a chance to take over the airwaves for Vinyl Day.
We’ll be listening.
