The turntables are warmed up and the crates are stacked high. On Tuesday, August 12th, WXPN is going completely analog for 18 straight hours in honor of National Vinyl Record Day with the help of some of our favorite people.

From 6 a.m. to midnight, we’re pulling the plug on digital. Every track will be spun straight from vinyl, curated by WXPN hosts, beloved local artists, and some of Philly’s finest record store crews. You can watch it all unfold live on the Vinyl Cam, streaming right here on xpn.org.

No MP3s. No shortcuts. Just music lovers sharing the records that shaped them. The deep cuts, the classics, and the gems you haven’t discovered yet.

Featured Artists:

  • Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz
  • Ted Leo
  • Kurt Vile
  • Charlie Hall of The War on Drugs

Local Record Store Guests:

  • Pat Feeney (Main Street Music)
  • Shawn Cephas (Forever Changes)
