Aaron Lee Tasjan
Where He’s From:
Nashville, TN
Who He Is:
Growing up, Aaron Lee Tasjan was always on the go, moving from Delaware to California to Ohio while never losing sight of his musical ambitions. He began performing at a young age, winning the Outstanding Guitarist Award from Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Competition. While living in New York, he performed in Semi Precious Weapons and The Madison Square Gardeners. Since moving to Nashville, he has established himself as a genre-mixing singer-songwriter. He collaborated with Pat Green and Lily Hiatt and was asked by Willie Nelson – one of his inspirations – to perform on the “Come and Toke It” livestream concert event. His songs are deeply personal, booze-fueled confessions indebted to 70’s folk and rock legends but fully contemporary and sometimes electronic.
