Who She Is:
Bully is a solo project founded by vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Alicia Bognanno. Bognanno started making music in high school audio engineering class, creating loops and beats for her friends who liked hip-hop. Later at Middle Tennessee State University, Bognanno began working on her own material. By October 2014, her band had signed with Star Time International and was touring the country consistently. Bully’s debut album, Feels Like, was released in June of 2015, and for their sophomore record, Bognanno took the reins on engineering 2017’s Losing released under Sub Pop. 2020’s SUGAREGG was co-produced and mixed by Bognanno and Grammy-winner John Congleton. Last year, Bully released her fourth album Lucky for You which ventured in new directions and shows growth, like in “All I Do” which celebrates Bognanno’s three years of sobriety.
