Where They’re From: Portland, OR

Who They Are:  Sisters Allison, Meegan, and Natalie Closner, make up the harmony-driven singer-songwriter trio Joseph, named their band after the Oregon town where their grandfather once lived. Natalie was the sister most responsible for the group’s formation and after she began writing and performing her other sisters joined the band. They debuted in 2016 with the ATO Records release, I’m Alone, No You’re Not, produced by Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes. The album is gorgeous, their singing is revelatory, and the band was named a WXPN Artist to Watch in October of 2016. They also performed on World Cafe, at NON-COMM, and at the XPoNential Music Festival.
