Who They Are: A true songwriter’s songwriter, Lucinda Williams is equal parts tough and vulnerable in her infinitely relatable songs. A lifelong musician who has been playing guitar since age 12, Williams released a run of acclaimed albums that draw equally on country, rock, blues and folk. In 1998, she released her celebrated fifth LP, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and never looked back; she continues to regularly release stellar albums, like 2020’s Good Souls Better Angels.
