Who They Are: Singer, songwriter, and pianist Neal Francis is based in Chicago, and released his sophomore album, In Plain Sight, in 2021. Francis was a standout at 2021’s virtual Non-COMM, when he performed with his band from Shirk Studios in Chicago. Francis’s music draws on his love of New Orleans R&B and soul and classic rock, influences you can hear on the song “Can’t Stop The Rain,” featuring Derek Trucks on slide guitar.
