Who They Are:
The origin of Ratboys stretches back to 2011 when guitarist Dave Sagan and vocalist Julia Steiner met and connected over music while attending Notre Dame. In the years since, the group has expanded in sound and size, adding bassist Sean Neumann and drummer Marcus Nuccio. Ratboys graduated from dorm-sized acoustic intimacy to grander indie-rock ambitions without sacrificing everything that made fans first fall in love with the group. The Chicago-based group performed at a 2020 campaign rally for Bernie Sanders and has toured with Wilco and Guided by Voices. Their 2023 album The Window showcases the band sounding fresher and tighter than ever and the band heads out for a headlining tour this spring.
