We’re back at it again with another installment of the popular Homegrown Originals album series, highlighting local artists and celebrating vinyl records in a way only possible here at WXPN.

Homegrown Originals Volume 4 — the limited-release, all-Philly compilation vinyl — will be offered on Record Store Day, April 18, at 13 participating locations. As with past Homegrown Original albums, Volume 4 is available only as a free gift with purchase at participating shops. A full list of participating stores is below.

This new volume features 11 tracks from local acts, including The Hooters, Mo Lowda & The Humble, Reef The Lost Cauze, and more. Scroll to the bottom of this page for the full track list, which includes studio cut and live performances from Free At Noon, XPoNential Music Festival, and past Homegrown Live! shows.

In keeping with tradition, WXPN is also throwing another free Homegrown Live! event featuring three artists on the album: Black Buttafly, Denison Witmer, and John Faye & friends (featuring Joey DiTullio and Erin Fox). That show will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 23 across the hall in the WXPN building.

“We were honored to celebrate XPN’s ‘Free At Noon’ with their 1,000th show, quite the accomplishment and here’s to many more,” Rob Hyman of The Hooters said. “And of course, The Hooters go way back with the station and their continued support for Philly bands in particular. We’re also happy to be a part of Homegrown Originals Volume 4 for Record Store Day 2026 as we were all inspired by our vinyl collections way back when – long may it play!”

“Our customers LOVE WXPN! Homegrown Originals is a hit every year on Record Store Day,” Mary Radakovits, co-owner of Compact Disc Center in Bethlehem, said. “Our music-loving customers really want to hear and support local bands, and WXPN helps them do just that. More copies please, WXPN!”

“At XPN, we talk a lot about connecting artists and audiences,” WXPN Local host Mike Vasilikos said. “Our local music scene is an important part of that equation, and our Homegrown Originals series showcases the vibrancy of our local music community.”
