Dan Reed

Hey! I’m a native of Hamilton / Cincinnati, OH, and a proud graduate of Ohio University.

I’ve been fortunate to have been here in Philly at WXPN since July 2004. Prior to that, I’ve worked at WFPK (Louisville), WNCW (Spindale, NC), WNKU (Cincinnati), and WOXY/97X (Oxford/Cincinnati).

I also spent five years in the concert industry as a production manager, booker, and promoter rep.

Music has been my life and career ever since high school.

I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Ann for almost 25 years, and we have a great family (Cale, Cara, Aprile, and Max). We live in the Overbrook area.

I’m extremely fortunate to host WXPN’s Funky Friday, and I have more fun than anybody doing an hour of 70s tunes (Highs In The 70s) every Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m.

I’m proud to be part of a very cool and creative team here at WXPN, and I’m always thinking of new ideas to serve our listeners. Music makes everything better… no matter what your situation.
