Sleepy Hollow
I have been drawn to music since I was a kid. My first purchases (my Mom actually did the buying) were Loggins & Messina and Elton John’s Don’t Shoot Me, I’m Only the Piano Player at age 7.
My first memory of what I wanted to do when I grew up was to be a DJ, so I guess that I have (sorta) fulfilled my destiny, which is a fun thought. I started my DJ career working in college radio at WNCC, WLVR, and WRTI where I honed my tastes and skills.
After taking a break from radio to work in film and television (ESPN, Dead Poet’s Society, and other projects), I now am a host of WXPN’s Sleepy Hollow which I have been listening to for more than 30 years. It has been my place to bestow the “quiet sounds” and engage the listener to relax and enjoy…just save me a cup of coffee!
I also broadcast on WDIY, a community radio station in my hometown in the Lehigh Valley on The Blend which mixes up the genres and eras into an entertaining, informative mix.
When not buying records and CDs (yes, I am old school), listening to music, and attending shows, I enjoy extensive traveling, a fine meal out, tasting craft and foreign brews, and sitting in a darkened theater (the way a film should be experienced).
I am very happy to be part of the WXPN community and look forward to making more musical discoveries with you.
