Iconic musician and artist Yoko Ono will celebrate her 89th birthday on February 18th, and a lineup of contemporary artists are teaming up to honor her with the Ocean Child project, a tribute compilation organized by Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard.
The latest teaser from the project is a rendition of “Nobody Sees Me Like You Do” by Japanese Breakfast. The song was originally a lush and orchestral pop number on Ono’s Phil Spector-produced 1981 album Season of Glass; Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner reinvents it as a yearning piano ballad.
