Listen to Robyn Hitchcock play acoustic songs, chat with Mike Vasilikos live in studio
The 73-year-old UK rocker is still going strong and is ready for his 25th studio album, The Confuser, to drop in July. Before making his way to Ardmore Music Hall for a full band gig Friday, Hitchcock stopped by the studio to play some music and chat with host Mike Vasilikos.

”You have all eternity in which not to exist, so better get it done now,” Robyn Hitchcock said in the WXPN broadcast booth Friday afternoon. “And the older I get, the less time I have, so I just get busier and busier.”
Hitchcock’s latest album The Confuser — which happens his 25th studio album — comes out on July 24, and he’s released three tracks so far: “I Am This Thing,” “My Dead Astronaut,” and “How To Feel Alright.”
Sitting in studio with host Mike Vasilikos, Hitchcock played “I Often Dream of Trains” from his 1984 release of the same name (and dedicated the song to the nearby 30th Street Station) and also “I Am This Thing.”
He chatted about reincarnation, playing with local drummer Patrick Berkery, The Beatles, the “collapsing” world, mortality, and more.
