Record Store Day 2026 Events: What’s Happening In The Region
The stores carrying our all-Philly, limited-edition ‘Homegrown Originals Volume 4’ compilation vinyl are hosting performances, giveaways, meet and greets, and more.

Record stores in Philadelphia, the suburbs, New Jersey, and Central PA we’ve partnered with to offer Homegrown Originals Volume 4 are extending hours, welcoming special guests, holding performances, giving tickets away, and more for Record Store Day 2026.

Philadelphia
Latchkey Records — 1502 E. Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19147
Latchey is opening two hours early at 9 a.m. on Record Store Day. The first 100 people who get to the shop will also receive a gift bag loaded with goodies, like record cleaning materials, sunglasses, and more. And Taco Heart will be offering breakfast tacos and coffee for everyone in line.
Main Street Music — 4444 Main St., Philadelphia, PA 19127
The Main Street Manayunk staple is hosting a slate of live performances on Record Store Day. Garage-psych rocker King Tuff will play at 2 p.m.; Homegrown Originals Volume 4 artist Denison Witmer at 3 p.m.; and Philly alt rock group The No Good Crowd (featuring WXPN’s own Jim McGuin) will play at 3:30 p.m. Hours on Record Store Day are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Repo Records — 506 South St., Philadelphia, PA 19147
Hundreds of Record Store Day releases will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Repo. For shoppers lining up early, Brood Coffee will have its truck on site at 7 a.m. Repo will also be offering various goodies for the first people in line (while supplies last). They’ll also be giving away tickets to shows at local venues, as well as a Victrola turntable package. Repo is also releasing a staff-produced local band compilation CD when doors open. Only 100 CD will be available, and the first copies will come with a zine that’s got info on the featured bands. Crystal Lee will DJ from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. outside, and new Repo tees and totes will be available for sale.
Philly Suburbs
Newtown Book & Record Exchange — 102 S. State St., Newtown, PA 18940
Doors to the shop open at 9 a.m., an hour earlier than usual. At about 8:15, an employee will hand out numbers to those in line, guaranteeing a spot when doors open. That means queuers can hop out of line to grab bites, drinks, wait in their cars, or wander around Newtown. Be sure to jump back in line by 8:50 though. At 9, customers will be let in a few at a time. Only RSD sales will be handled through 11 a.m., and no music or book trades will take place that day.
Siren Records — 25 E. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901
Siren is opening at 9 a.m., but reservations, which are all claimed, are required for entry until noon. Customers are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before reservation times. If space becomes available, walk-ups will be accepted during the reservation-only period. General entry begins at noon, but shoppers can line-up as early as they’d like. Those who cannot make their time slots are asked to cancel them online here.
Greatest Hits — 21 S. Jackson St., Media, PA 19063
The Media record store will have extended hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Record Store Day.
Forever Changes — 10 S. Main St., Phoenixville, PA 19460
Hours on Record Store Day are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with Vesta Kitchen serving pastries and coffee starting at 7 a.m. Kat Rivers will perform at 1 p.m.; John Wesley Harding will play songs from his 1990 album Here Comes the Groom at 3 p.m., and will be signing copies of the album’s deluxe version released for RSD; and Anna Spackman will close out the day with a 4 p.m. performance. Also, The Colonial Theatre will screen High Fidelity at 7 p.m. April 17 for a pre-Record Store Day event.
New Jersey
Princeton Record Exchange — 20 S. Tulane St., Princeton, NJ 08542
PREX opens at 10 a.m. and will let folks in on a first-come, first-served basis. More importantly, at 2 p.m. the beloved shop will host a special guest: Billy Squier. The rocker will be meeting and greeting fans from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and has a special release planned for the day — a deluxe edition of 1993’s Tell the Truth. There’s no purchase necessary to meet Squier and get some items signed; just be in line by 9 a.m. to get a wristband that will give you access to Squier.
Blue Raven Record Shop — 108 Harrison St., Frenchtown, NJ 08825
Doors open at 8 a.m. as part of the grand opening of the new location at 41 Bridge St. Customers can line up at any time. The NiteLiters will be spinning on the porch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tunes — 910 Haddonfield-Berlin Road, Voorhees Township, NJ 08043
Doors to Tunes open at 9 a.m., and customers are encouraged to arrive early if they are looking to scoop up a specific release. Tunes staff will be limiting the amount of shoppers in the store to avoid overcrowding inside. And cratediggers should be aware that Record Store Day releases are limited to one copy per customer.
Central Pennsylvania
Iko’s Music Trade — 2300 E. Market St., York, PA 17402
Iko’s will have extended hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving you two extra hours of cratedigging. Everything in the store will be offered on sale, and owner Paul Hamilton will have a few crates of select records he’s set aside since last Record Store Day available for those quick enough to get to them.
A Day In The Life Records — 24A W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603
A Day In The Life is opening up early at 9 a.m. Denison Witmer will perform from 11 a.m. to noon before heading to Philly, where he will play at Main Street Records in Manayunk, as mentioned above.
Compact Disc Center — 1365 Easton Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18018
Record Store Day shoppers can get into Compact Disc Center three hours earlier than usual, with doors opening at 8 a.m. Local band Higbee will perform at 1 p.m. Additionally, the store is hosting ticket giveaways for various Live Nation shows at Archer Music Hall and Arrow, PPL Center, Hershey Theatre, and The Pavilion at Montage Mountain.
