Soccer Mommy’s signature ‘bubblegrunge’ sound takes center stage in this exclusive mini-concert

Today on World Cafe, we’re getting into a mini concert with Soccer Mommy, the musical alias of Nashville artist Sophie Allison. We’re big fans of Soccer Mommy, first having her on World Cafe in 2018 and again in 2020. She was also one of our essential 30 under 30 artists back in 2021.
Allison’s music is a blend of bedroom pop and ’90s alternative rock that’s occasionally dubbed bubble grunge. Today’s performance was recorded live at the Xponential Music Festival in Camden, N.J. in 2025. Enjoy!
