Enter for a chance to win a trip for two to Ireland!

Donate Now! Win a Musical Adventure to Ireland

Imagine this: you’re sitting in a café (or a pub) enjoying a coffee (or a Guinness) on a charming Dublin street, chatting with new friends about the incredible World Cafe music sessions you’ve enjoyed together and planning the day’s adventures.

Sound fun? It is a blast! And in fact, it’s almost sold out. That’s why we are so excited to be able to offer an incredible opportunity for one lucky winner and a guest to join our next World Cafe Sense of Place Travel Adventure.

Donate to XPN now through Thursday, October 9th and you’ll be entered to win a trip for two to join a group of fellow music lovers, along with World Cafe host Raina Douris, Senior Producer Kim Junod, and General Manager Roger LaMay, where you’ll explore the western region of Ireland and Dublin.

Once in Dublin, you’ll be treated to a number of World Cafe music sessions. Your group will be the only folks in the room as you watch Raina guide Irish performers through an interview and performance session, which is recorded for the nationally-syndicated World Cafe radio program.

The recipient of this contest prize will win airfare from PHL, land transportation, select meals, hotel, and travel insurance for two people on the World Cafe Sense of Place Travel Adventure: The Dublin Sessions, Featuring Waterford, Killarney, and Limerick from April 10 – 20, 2026. Special thanks to Collette for helping to make this incredible trip possible.

Each year, WXPN invites select members to experience a World Cafe Sense of Place adventure. Typically international, these trips offer an intimate behind-the-scenes opportunity to see how the World Cafe team produces their award-winning, nationally syndicated music interview and radio program in real time.

Not only that, these trips are also part of a special series called Sense of Place, which explores the art of music-making within local communities. It examines how geography influences artists and their work through interviews and performances recorded in their hometowns.

Along with a robust schedule of music (usually about 4 to 5 performances per trip), travelers enjoy the company of a small group of fellow WXPN community members and plenty of time to explore the local culture, food, shopping, or whatever appeals.

Eligibility to join these adventures is tiered. Donors to WXPN at the Special Producer level ($3,000 annually) or more are given the first opportunity, after which it opens up to Program Partners ($1,500 annually). Often the trips sell out, but if any spots remain, we may open them up to other members.
