WXPN Engineering Internship
Support the technical infrastructure that makes XPN broadcasting and operations possible

Position Duration:
Spring/Summer: May 1– August 31 2026
Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week.
Available in-person only
Duties:
Assist the Engineering department in supporting computer systems used for desktops, Digital Audio Workstations (ProTools), video production and audio recording/playback systems. Perform system backups, troubleshooting, software installations and upgrades. Assist the Engineering team with remote broadcast setups, hardware troubleshooting, video production, etc.
Qualifications: Candidate must be familiar with commonly used computer applications including Windows 10/11, Microsoft O365, macOS, etc., as well as anti-virus/anti-malware software applications and be able to do basic computer hardware repair and troubleshooting. Candidate should be able to work in an office and radio production environment with minimal supervision. Experience with audio and video recording and editing equipment is a plus!
Goals:
The goals of this internship are for the students to come away with a basic understanding of hands-on radio/video production and engineering duties, advance their troubleshooting skills, and give them a firm understanding of the responsibilities of today’s broadcast engineers.
