Tonight’s Concert Pick: Mountain Man at First Unitarian Church

Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, and Amelia Randall Meath are Mountain Man, a likely surprise considering the burly nature of the trio’s name. The group, which formed at Bennington College in 2009, plays indie-folk tunes that are frequently described as having an Appalachian-inspired folk sound. They employ minimal instrumentals, if any; they often sing a cappella in sweet and resonant harmonies. They are a unique act to their Underwater Peoples label, which is also home to groups such as Real Estate and Tennis. Mountain Man performs at the First Unitarian Church at 8:30 p.m.; tickets to the all-ages show are SOLD OUT.
