Indie-folk duo The Civil Wars have announced a fall headlining tour, set to kick off October 7th in Birmingham, Alabama. The Nashville-based twosome, composed of Joy Williams and John Paul White, will have just completed a stint opening for Adele on her sold-out UK tour. They’ve had an exciting breakout year following the February release of their debut album Barton Hollow, and are showing no signs of slowing down. They had an apparently fantastic performance at the Newport Folk Festival on Sunday, which can be streamed in its entirety over at NPR. The duo also recorded a World Cafe session back in May, during which they performed three of their standout tracks: “Forget Me Not,” “20 Years,” and hit single “Poison and Wine.” That session is available for streaming here.

The Civil Wars will stop in Philadelphia on Tuesday, October 25th at the Trocadero. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, August 5th at 12 p.m.; they will cost $26.80 (including fees) and can be found here. Below, take a stroll with the Wars through “Forget Me Not.”
