Fresh off the completion of their third album, Info Nympho, members of the indie ensemble Cuddle Magic are on the road for their longest tour yet. Boasting a mercurial line-up of about 10 members from both New York and Philadelphia, the group had a lot of people to cram into the studio when making their latest collection of mellow, folk Americana songs. The close recording space only aided the groups’ attempt at making a record completely free of computer-generated editing, so as to come as close as possible to simulating how the band sounds live. The use of piano and string instruments (with a quirky but quiet xylophone) indicates that the group’s tour should serve as a cozy backdrop to the changing (and cuddle-inducing) autumn weather. Cuddle Magic performs with The Powder Kegs and Is And Of The at 9 p.m. at Johnny Brenda’s; tickets to the 21+ show are $10. —Marielle Mondon
