Richie Furay is playing this evening (Monday, November 7th) at World Cafe Live. Furay, a founding member of Buffalo Springfield and Poco, was also in The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band with Chris Hillman (The Byrds) and J.D. Souther. It’s Furay’s work with Buffalo Springfield and Poco that most remember him for, writing classics like “It’s A Good Feelin’ To Know,” and “Pickin’ Up The Pieces” for Poco and “Kind Woman” with Buffalo Springfield. The lesser known “Falling In Love” was written and recorded with the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, their only hit song. Below, watch a couple of videos from Furay with his bandmates from back in the day. Richie Furay performs at 7 p.m. at World Cafe Live Downstairs; tickets are $45–$55 and are available here.
