Locally-rooted darkwave dance act Cold Cave is headed out on a fall tour opening for The Divine Fits, and it swings through Philly on October 22 for a date at Union Transfer. On this round of dates, frontamn Wes Eisold debuts his new lineup of 90s and aughties punk-rock allstars – Hunter Burgan of AFI, London May of Samhain and Cody Votolato of Blood Brothers – and after tour wraps, the band will head to Los Angeles to record a followup to its excellent 2011 record Cherish the Light Years. The band is bringing a tour-exclusive 7″ on the road with it this fall; you can listen to its pulsing, rocking synthpop a-side “A Little Death to Laugh” below.
