Lancaster County four-piece The Districts are fast becoming one of our favorite regional rock bands. After releasing the impressive soulful rock record Telephone this summer and walking away with top honors at the Beta Hi-Fi Festival at Wilmington’s World Cafe Live at the Queen, the band is heading back through the Delaware Valley next month for a few engagements, including a recording session for The Key and an appearance upstairs at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia on October 11. Today, the band released a scaled-down, acoustic-leaning EP called While You Were in Honesdale, and it showcases their remarkable ability to sound electrifying, even when they’re playing unplugged. Listen to the EP below, and grab a free download of it at Bandcamp.
