Watch a music video for U.S. Girls’ new “North on 45” (new album out 10/23)

The one-woman experimental pop outfit U.S. Girls is releasing its fourth record, Gem, next Tuesday, October 23 via UK label FatCat Records. Today we get a taste of the music with a music video for its single “North on 45”. The nervy clip was filmed and directed by Meghan Remy – the woman behind the band – and evokes bits of Hitchcock’s North By Northwest, David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and the “Karma Police” video as it follows a character backwards and forwards along a dirt road at night, with car headlights providing the only illumination.
