Teenage garage/punk rock kids The Orwells playing the North Star in March
Here’s a show that you may not want to let slip by: The Orwells are playing the North Star Bar on Saturday, March 2nd. These Chicago based garage/punk rock teenage high school kids more than deliver the rock on their debut album Remember When. Released last August on Autumn Tone Records, the album is a beautiful mess of classic teenage rock and roll. It’s everything a rock and roll record in the truest sense should be – it has loud guitars, bashing drums, torrid, screamy vocals, songs about doing things bored teenage kids do and songs about the existential issues teenage kids think about. Sure, it’s all been done before, but on Remember When, The Orwells seem to capture the moment just right. Don’t miss these kids. They may inspire you to go back in to the garage.
