Watch Wild Nothing perform “This Chain Won’t Break” on Mount San Jacinto (playing The Electric Factory on 9/28)

NPR Music took Virgina’s Wild Nothing out to the desert of California for an acoustic Field Recording of “This Chain Won’t Break” from their latest Nocturne LP.  Perched on the side of Mount San Jacinto near Palm Springs, the dreamy pop band took the song in a very different direction from its Nocturne counterpart, using tree pods as a percussion section and trading in the reverb for a more naturalistic, raw sound that complimented the recording’s surroundings.  XPN will welcome Wild Nothing to the Electric Factory on September 28th when the band opens for Local Natives.  Tickets and information can be found here.
