The Brooklyn rock and soul band The Jay Vons make their Philly debut this Friday night, July 19 at Kung Fu Necktie. The Jay Vons formed in 2008 and have one 45 out on Cryptovision and another single coming out this fall on La Ti Da Records in Vancoouver, BC; both were recorded at The Daptone House of Soul. The Jay Vons feature members of Reigning Sound and play in other bands including Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens and Lee Fields and the Expressions. These cats know their soul music.
